Job summary

Crystal Clean is seeking a Plant Operator to safely monitor and adjust processes, record readings, and perform routine maintenance tasks in a chemical processing environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to safety policies. Training will be provided, and benefits include medical and retirement options. Starting hourly pay ranges from $20.00 to $28.00.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational training preferred.
• Experience in chemical processing environment preferred.
• 2+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Work safely in all job aspects and functions.
• Record process field readings and verify control room readings.
• Make adjustments to the process as directed by the Facility Manager or Supervisor.
• Perform bulk tank transfers as needed.
• Update process logbooks with field activities and process adjustments.
• Maintain and update process/safety/equipment reading logs.
• Calculate process yields when necessary.
• Assist with utility operations and inspections.
• Prepare equipment for safe maintenance following Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
• Assist with Work Permitting (Hot and Cold Work) including atmospheric testing.
• Complete shift handover communications.
• Maintain housekeeping in own work area.
• Develop ways to operate more effectively.
• Adhere to corporate policies including environmental and regulatory standards.
• Participate in safety meetings.
