Job summary

City of Branson is seeking a Plant Operator Trainee to support its clean water mission. The position is onsite in Branson, MO and involves shift work to ensure 24/7 operations. You will learn essential wastewater treatment skills while contributing to community water quality.

Starting at $20.26/hour with raises to $21.07/hour after 6 months of probation, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for certification and growth within the city’s utilities division.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and be insurable under City of Branson coverage when operating a vehicle.
• Must obtain Class D Missouri Wastewater Certification within 18 months of start date.
• Must obtain Class B CDL with Air Brake endorsement within 12 months of hire date.
• Willing to work any shift including nights, weekends, holidays for 24/7 operations.
• No felony convictions during employment.
• Able to pass background, physical capability exam, and drug/alcohol screenings.
• One year of semi-skilled building, mechanical, construction, or grounds maintenance experience preferred.

WORK LOCATION:

In and around the City of Branson, Missouri; This position requires work to be performed onsite.

What We Require

• A High school diploma or a GED equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position.
• Possess or obtain a Class "D" Missouri Wastewater Treatment Certification of Competency within 18 months of start date.
• Possess or obtain a valid Class B CDL with Air Brake endorsement within 12 months of hire date.
• Be willing to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary to have operations 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
• Possess no felony convictions at any time while employed by the City of Branson.
• Be able to pass background investigation, physical capability examination, and drug and alcohol screenings.
• One (1) year of experience in performing semi-skilled building, mechanical, construction, or grounds maintenance tasks is preferred.

Starting hourly wage is $20.26 per hour and will increase to $21.07 per hour after 6 months of successful probation.
