Job summary

Ash Grove Cement Company is seeking a Plant Operator to support grinding, material handling, and pollution control processes. The role emphasizes safety, equipment operation, and adherence to production standards.

The operator will monitor ash levels, follow detailed instructions, and collaborate with supervisors to address maintenance needs. A high school diploma and 1 year of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and relevant trade training or certification.
• At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field.
• Strong verbal communication skills for conveying instructions and reporting issues.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Willingness to work rotating on-call shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Promote safe work habits to help create a zero-injury safety culture.
• Operate Vertical Roller Mill and associated process equipment per instructions.
• Monitor and record daily levels of Ground Bottom Ash and Fly Ash in silos.
• Communicate with Lead Operator and Operations Manager regarding maintenance issues.
• Ensure compliance with production, quality and maintenance processes and procedures.
• Perform and assist with maintenance on process equipment and facilities as directed.
