Job Description

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 12 states with over 3,000 employees. RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States.

We have 86 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.

Rogers Group is currently seeking a Plant Operator for our quarry located in Springdale, Arkansas. The successful candidate will have experience operating a crushing plant or working with crushers, conveyors, and screens, and must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety excellence.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Operate and monitor a crushing facility production controls
  2. Perform routine equipment and plant maintenance, and participate in plant improvement projects
  3. Operate production equipment such as haul trucks, wheeled loaders, or skid steers as needed
  4. Clean up around the site
  5. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  1. Uncompromising focus on safety excellence
  2. Mining experience preferred
  3. 1+ years of experience operating a crushing plant preferred
  4. Previous fixed plant maintenance or related industry experience is preferred
  5. Able to conduct safety and maintenance inspections throughout the day
  6. Demonstrate equipment knowledge and troubleshooting skills
  7. Ability to understand safety and work instructions
  8. Flexible hours and overtime availability
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  10. Good organizational and time management skills
  11. Welding and general maintenance experience helpful
  12. Heavy equipment operation experience a plus but not required
  13. Team-oriented mentality
  14. Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions with exposure to dust, noise, heat, and cold
  15. Must pass pre-employment drug testing
