Job summary

CEMEX US is seeking an Operator General in Immokalee, FL to oversee plant production operations and maintenance of fixed equipment. The role requires hands-on responsibility with daily production tasks and adherence to safety standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in aggregate facilities, a high school diploma, and welding/cutting skills. Candidates must be flexible for shift hours, overtime, and weekend work, in a demanding outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in operating and maintaining an aggregate facility.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent.
• Welding and cutting experience highly preferred.
• Core understanding of conveyor belts, shaker screens, sand screws, and cyclone operations.
• Ability to work scheduled shift hours and be flexible with scheduling, overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate facility in a production mode, maintaining established efficiencies.
• Examine and diagnose operational problems, and repairs according to accepted methods, establishes
• Conducts preventative maintenance practices.
• Ability to be multi-diversified in performing other related duties such as maintenance/repair, and yard loading when needed
• Able to understand, interpret, and execute instructions given in both verbal and written form
• Schedule or call for repairs and parts
• Recognize potentially hazardous situations
• Adhere to all CEMEX, O.S.H.A., and M.S.H.A rules and regulations at all times
• Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
• Meet or exceed company safety standards
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management
