Job Summary
The Plant Operator is knowledgeable in all facets of plant operations (grinding, material handling, pollution control equipment & processes). The Plant Operator's ability to respond using effective mechanical, electrical, process, or support systems skills is critical for success in this position.
Essential Functions
- Comply with Eco Material Technologies Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Promote safe work habits to help create a zero-injury safety culture.
- Assist with plant operations, specifically Vertical Roller Mill and associated process equipment, following written, verbal, or diagram instructions.
- Monitor and record daily levels of ground Bottom Ash and Fly Ash in the silos.
- Communicate with Lead Operator, Operations Manager, and other line support regarding maintenance/operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with all production, quality, and maintenance processes.
- Attend regular safety meetings and conduct shift handover meetings.
- Operate small utility mobile equipment on-site when required.
- Operate heavy equipment where necessary.
- Perform and/or assist with maintenance on process equipment and facilities as directed by plant management.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and work areas to meet facility standards.
- Perform mechanical/process troubleshooting.
- Provide peer coaching to correct issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
- Maintain regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility.
- Perform other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with relevant training or certification.
- 1-2 years' experience in a relevant field.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Exposure to noise, temperature extremes, dust, chemicals, and environmental conditions.
- Prolonged standing, repetitive movements, bending, twisting.
- Lift/move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to move around the facilities and wear required PPE.
