Job description

Operate a primary crushing plant and a secondary crushing plant in a backup capacity, ensuring safe operation and maximum production of high-quality material. This hourly, non-exempt role requires working with or without direct supervision.

Essential Functions

1. Operate primary and secondary crushing plants in a backup capacity, maintaining safety and high-quality output.
2. Follow all GOH/MSHA regulations and policies.
3. Conduct pre- and post-shift inspections of equipment.
4. Accurately track and complete production forms.
5. Work effectively as part of a team.
6. Maintain and care for equipment properly.
7. Work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
8. Perform additional duties as directed by supervisors.

Knowledge of

• MSHA regulations applicable to this position.
• Operation of PLC-based computer systems.
• Proper maintenance and repair of crushing equipment.

Ability to

• Learn and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Work independently or with supervision.

Qualifications

• Combination of education and experience that enables performance of essential functions.

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

• Experience level may determine placement as Plant Operator 1, 2, or 3.

Required Training

• MSHA ART/NM/ENM certifications
• CPR/First Aid

Physical Requirements

• Climb stairs and ladders regularly.
• Wear PPE consistently.
• Lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Work outdoors in dust, extreme heat, or cold.
• Shovel and sit for extended periods frequently.
