Summit Midstream Partners is seeking a Plant Operator to oversee operation, maintenance, and recording for gathering-system compressor stations and process plants. The role requires attention to detail, safety, and adherence to procedures.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1+ year in energy or related technical training, and familiarity with SCADA systems. On-site work with potential callouts and weekend shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office.

Our systems and the basins they serve are as follows: the Polar & Divide system (williston Basin); the DFW Midstream system (Fort Worth Basin); the Grand River system (Piceance Basin); and the Niobrara G&P system (DJ Basin). SMC has an equity investment in and operates Double E Pipeline LLC which is natural gas transmission infrastructure that provides transportation service from multiple receipt points in the Delaware Basin to various delivery points in and around the Waha Hub in Texas. We generate a substantial majority of our revenue under primarily long term and fee based gathering agreements with our customers. The majority of our gathering agreements are underpinned by areas of mutual interest AMIs and minimum volume commitments MVCs. Our AMIs provide that any production drilled by our customers within the AMIs will be shipped on our gathering systems. The MVCs are designed to ensure that we will generate a minimum amount of gathering revenue over the life of each respective gathering agreement. The fee based nature of the majority of the gathering agreements enhances the stability of our cash flows and limits our direct commodity price exposure. Job Responsibilities

A Plant Operator is responsible for the operation, maintenance and record keeping of gathering system compressor stations or process plants.

• Daily operation documentation and housekeeping of compressor stations with reciprocating natural gas compressors;
• Responsible for completing and maintaining required reports and logs;
• Monitor and adjust equipment to maintain optimum availability, efficiency and throughput;
• Perform minor maintenance on engines, compressors, dehydrators, vapor recovery units, flares, separators, slug catchers, air compressors and cooling fans;
• Daily condensate tank liquid handling and truck scheduling;
• Work with craft personnel to ensure any equipment/system problems are resolved in a timely manner;
• Report, troubleshoot and correct abnormal operating conditions;
• Coordinate and monitor activities of contract personnel assigned to the area;
• Identify emergency situations and initiate Emergency Response Procedures;
• Promote a safe work environment, implement current safety policies and ensure environmental policies and regulatory compliance are being met;
• May be required at some locations to monitor meters and gauges to maintain correct temperature, pressure and flow of gas through system.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Work indoors and outdoors in and around industrial and electrical equipment
• Work in temperature extremes due to weather conditions and operating equipment
