Job description

Luck Stone Spotsylvania Plant is seeking an experienced Plant Operator to join their 2nd Shift team. Production is the core of our business. Our Plant Operators monitor crushers, conveyors, screens, feeders, and bins to maximize production and ensure quality products. Safety is a top priority at Luck, so much of your responsibility will focus on maintaining equipment and machinery through hands-on maintenance.

Shift hours:

Mon-Thur 3:30 pm-2:30 am

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  1. Pre-shift inspection of the plant
  2. Assist with preventative and reactive maintenance: changing screens, greasing, changing rollers, belt splices, rebuilding crushers, welding, and fabrication
  3. Inspect and monitor plant operation to ensure proper functioning
  4. Assist with site projects as requested by management and team members
  5. Support team members with other projects as needed
  6. Ensure the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift
Qualifications:
  • Experience operating and performing hands-on maintenance in a similar environment
  • Mechanical aptitude with proven work experience
  • Basic welding or torch skills
  • A passion for learning
  • Ability to commit long-term to 2nd shift
  • Comfort working from elevated platforms and heights without fear
Compensation and Benefits:

Starting pay is $26.58 per hour, plus a $3.00/hour differential, with potential increases based on skills and experience evaluation.
