Job description

Job Title: Plant Operator

Overview: Working with the Plant Supervisor on all aspects of production.

Safety Expectations:

The consultant is required to comply with all safety rules and observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times, whether on Suit-Kote property, job sites, or operating Suit-Kote equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Load and unload liquid materials into tankers and bulk storage tanks.
2. Keep the workplace clean and organized.
3. Operate forklift and other equipment as needed.
4. Run errands and pick up supplies when required.
5. Follow directions accurately.
6. Perform other duties around the emulsion plant as required.
7. Record inventories, run sheets, and conduct daily inspections.
8. Operate and maintain valves, pumps, hand/power tools, and perform grass cutting around the facility.
9. Perform painting, sweeping, and shoveling tasks.
10. Work overtime and on weekends when necessary.
11. Work from heights and in confined spaces (e.g., cleaning out bulk storage tanks).

Requirements:

• OSHA 10 Hour Safety Certification.
• Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening; a background check will be conducted.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, read a tape measure, and perform basic math.
• Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and willing to assist the team.
• Clean motor-vehicle record.

Additional Duties:

This job description does not encompass all duties; employees are expected to follow other instructions and perform additional duties as directed by their supervisor.

Salary Range:

$18-$20 per hour.
