Job summary

Eco Material Technologies, a CRH Company, seeks a Plant Operator in Milledgeville, GA to support grinding, material handling and pollution control processes. You will monitor ash levels, assist with equipment operation, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with plant operations, following written, verbal, or diagram instructions.
• Monitor daily levels of ground Bottom Ash and Fly Ash in silos.
• Communicate with Lead Operator and Managers about maintenance needs.
• Ensure compliance with production, quality, and maintenance processes.
• Attend safety meetings and conduct shift handovers.
• Operate small utility equipment on site as required.
• Operate heavy equipment where necessary.
• Perform maintenance on process equipment and facilities as directed.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas to meet facility standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
• Maintain regular attendance and scheduling flexibility.

Job Summary

The Plant Operator is knowledgeable in all facets of plant operations (grinding, material handling, pollution control equipment & processes. The Plant Operator’s ability to respond by use of effective mechanical, electrical, process or support systems skills is critical for success in this position.

Job Responsibilities

• Assists with plant operations, specifically Vertical Roller Mill and associated process equipment, follow written, verbal or diagram instructions
• Monitors and records daily levels of ground Bottom Ash and Fly Ash in the silos
• Communicate with Lead Operator, Operations Manager and other line support regarding maintenance/operational issues
• Ensure compliance with all production/quality/maintenance processes and work being performed
• Attends regular safety meeting and follows all safety guidelines as required. Conduct shift handover meetings
• Operates small utility mobile equipment on site when required
• Operates heavy equipment where necessary
• Performs and/or assists with maintenance on process equipment and facilities as directed by plant management
• Ensure housekeeping and work areas are maintained properly to meet facility standards
• Perform mechanical/process troubleshooting
• Provide peer coaching discussions to correct issues
• Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams
• Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field
