Plant Operator

Location: Millbury, MA
Compensation: $54/hr + $10,000 Sign-On Bonus

About the Role:

Are you a skilled Plant Operator with a passion for maintaining efficient and environmentally compliant operations? WIN Waste Innovations is seeking a dedicated Plant Operator to ensure the smooth operation of our boiler systems and plant equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing boiler combustion, monitoring plant performance, and leading a team of plant personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Optimize Operations: Maintain optimal boiler combustion and steam flows, ensuring maximum plant efficiency while minimizing emissions.

2. Monitor Performance: Continuously monitor operational and emission data, responding proactively to any changes.

3. Lead & Train: Coordinate, direct, and provide training to Assistant Utility Operators, Utility Operators, and Assistant Plant Operators.

4. Equipment Management: Conduct thorough inspections during outages and maintain boilers and other plant equipment to ensure reliable operations.

Required Qualifications:

1. Experience: At least 2 years as an Assistant Plant Operator or 5 years of related experience in a power plant environment.

2. Technical Skills: Strong mechanical skills, including valve repacking and equipment inspection capabilities.

3. Licensing: Ability to acquire an ASME QRO Provisional License and a 2nd Class Engineer License for Massachusetts facilities.

4. Analytical Skills: Solid math skills for accurate job performance and an in-depth knowledge of steam-generating power plant operations.
