Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking motivated Power Plant Technicians to support the safe, reliable operation of a state-of-the-art gas-fired power facility in Hazleton, PA. This role offers growth within a dynamic power generation environment.

Responsibilities include operating from the control room, starting up and shutting down equipment, responding to alarms, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance. You will promote safety and mentor team members as you develop technical expertise.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of power plant, industrial, or related operations/maintenance experience preferred.
• Must successfully complete the POSS/MASS assessment.
• ability to lift up to 50 pounds and wear PPE.

• Develop and follow operating procedures to support safe and efficient plant performance.
• Promote a strong safety culture through LOTO, confined spaces, hot work, electrical safety, PPE requirements, and other safety programs.
• Train and mentor team members while continuing to develop technical expertise.

What You'll Do

• Promote a strong safety culture through compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, hot work, electrical safety, PPE requirements, and other safety programs
• Train and mentor team members while continuing to develop technical expertise

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of power plant, industrial, or related operations/maintenance experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Basic computer proficiency
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must successfully complete the Power Plant Operations and Maintenance Selection System (POSS/MASS) assessment

Physical Requirements

Ability to climb ladders, stairways, and elevated structures up to 75+ feet

Ability to work in confined spaces and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Must be able to wear respiratory protection and other required PPE
