Job summary

AccuTrans Inc. in Corpus Christi, TX, is seeking a Plant Operator to perform refinery/terminal operations, including connecting/disconnecting tanker trucks, rail cars, cargo ships or barges for loading or unloading liquid or bulk cargos, and light maintenance.

You will monitor loading/unloading, operate shore side flare/VDU, manage valves, obtain certifications, and work safely per site guidelines. A valid CDL, TWIC, and physical stamina are required.

Qualifications

• TWIC card required and valid driver license.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug test.
• Physical stamina to lift and move 60 pounds and climb stairs.

Responsibilities

• Spot, connect, disconnect Tanker Trucks, Rail Cars, Cargo Ships or Barges for loading or unloading liquid or bulk cargos.
• Monitor the loading or unloading of Tanker Trucks, Rail Cars, Cargo Ships, or Barges.
• Monitor and Operate Shore Side Flare or VDU (vapor destruction unit).
• Open and close valves throughout the facility for transfers to or from shore tanks to tanker trucks, or rail cars or boarding cargo ships and barges.
• Obtain certifications and operate forklifts and shore side cranes.
• Operate locomotive along with working the ground for In-Plant rail car switching.
• Clear and clean shore side pipelines and hoses for various liquid cargos.
• Perform light plant maintenance up to and including housekeeping and lawn services as requested.
• Fill in as needed at other facilities and call-out docks.
• Maintain current Area Safety Council Training and participate in company and customer safety meetings.
• Adhere to company and facility specific safety guidelines.
