Plant Operator

Location: Chattanooga, TN

Schedule: Mon - Fri

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Demonstrates and aligns with Airgas Safety Pledge and 12 Life Saving Rules. Ensures compliance with OSHA, FDA, DOT, EPA requirements, and maintains proper training and records.
• Operational Responsibilities: Operates equipment for pumping/repackaging gases, performs minor maintenance, inspects cylinders, maintains accurate records, and ensures compliance with regulations.
• Additional Responsibilities: Conduct safety checks, operate forklifts, assist with inventory and housekeeping, and perform other assigned duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma and prior experience in a plant or warehouse environment.
• Strong communication skills, self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Ability to read and interpret safety data sheets and procedures.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office preferred).
