Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Plant Operator for surface operations at the Auxvasse South Quarry in Auxvasse, MO. You will assist with plant clean-up and support surface crushing operations, and may back up Plant Operator I by controlling automated rock-crushing equipment.

Responsibilities include operating a skid steer for clean-up, inspecting equipment, monitoring processes, and coordinating with the team to meet production needs. A valid license and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED; 1+ year related experience.
• Valid US driver’s license.
• Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred.
• MS Office and other computer skills preferred.

• Operate skid steer to assist plant clean-up.
• Train and provide back-up for Plant Operator I.
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear.
• Monitor processes, materials and surroundings.
• Tend to conveyors to move materials through production.
• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment.
• Operate haul truck to support plant operations.
• Work in a team environment.
• Maintain clean work areas and ensure proper PPE.
• Notify supervisors of needed repairs.
• Manage multiple tasks and prioritize production needs.

Hours: 6:30am - 6:30pm - 55-60 hour work weeks

Pay: $23-$26 an hour

JOB SUMMARY

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Plant Operator for surface operations at our Auxvasse South Quarry in Auxvasse, MO. This position is responsible for assisting with plant clean-up and providing support for surface crushing operations. This position will also serve as a back-up to Plant Operator I by controlling plant equipment and operations in a full-automated/computer-operated rock crushing plant.

• Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Operate haul truck to assist with plant operations

QUALIFICATIONS
