Job description

Maintain and monitor physical plant and equipment at an assigned City location; perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.

Minimum Requirements:

1. High school diploma or GED supplemented by thirty (30) credit hours vocational training in equipment operation and maintenance; and
2. Two (2) years of experience operating and maintaining industrial equipment in a large, modern, complex facility.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
2. Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
3. Possession of a valid New Mexico Journey level BO1 Boilers License for Low Pressure within one (1) year from date of hire.

Knowledge of:

• Operational characteristics of assigned equipment and facilities

• Operational characteristics of a variety of maintenance and repair tools and equipment
