Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is hiring a plant operator at our Ohio facility to support production and ensure safety and quality standards. You will run ball mill circuits, slag dryers and operate heavy equipment, including front-end loaders, to move materials through the plant.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment, with front-end loader experience strongly preferred.
• Commitment to safety and compliance standards.
• Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Comfort working at heights and in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
• Quality control experience is not required; training will be provided for testing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to safety and compliance standards.
• Operate a ball mill circuit and slag dryer to process materials efficiently while maintaining production and quality standards.
• Operate heavy equipment, including front-end loaders, to move materials throughout the plant.
• Collect material samples, perform basic quality control testing, and make process adjustments as needed to ensure product quality.
• Assist with routine plant maintenance and perform basic mechanical troubleshooting to support safe and reliable operations.
