Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Plant Operations Specialist to operate, maintain, and supervise trades across the Medical Center facilities. Responsibilities span electrical, structural, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and area maintenance, within a collaborative team and safety-first environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with at least five years in related trades and a commitment to safe, code-compliant work practices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED) or related vocational certificates.
• Minimum of five (5) years in trades such as electrical, structural, mechanical, or plumbing/pipe fitting.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, replace electrical circuits and wiring per code and safety standards.
• Install, repair, and troubleshoot structural elements and framing.
• Maintain and repair HVAC, mechanical and piping systems across the facility.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections per the Area Maintenance Program.
• Follow blueprints and diagrams; maintain clean, safe work habits.
