Job summary

Luminant Generation Company LLC in Texas seeks a Department Manager II to oversee plant operations within the regional fleet, potentially across multiple sites and mine sites. You will lead safety, environmental and regulatory compliance while directing operation, maintenance, engineering support, and long-range planning.

The role requires 6 years of supervisory experience, proficiency in plant operations, and overtime flexibility.

Qualifications

Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to some of the skills listed.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
6 years supervisory/management experience required.
Proficiency with plant operations, mechanical, and electrical principles required.
Must be available and able to work overtime as assigned.

Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for a plant within the regional fleet, may oversee multiple sites and mine sites.
Lead safety, environmental and regulatory compliance across operations.
Provide operation, maintenance, technical and engineering support.
Coordinate long and short-range planning including O&M and Capital Resource Plans.
Manage projects, contractors, staffing and employee development.
Foster effective communication and community relations during site/equipment demolition.
