Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Manager Plant Operations in New Jersey. You will coordinate, direct and supervise staff responsible for operation, maintenance and repair of buildings and utilities systems, including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC work.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years of technical training, and a Blue Seal Boiler License. Strong communication and computer skills are essential to support safe, compliant facility operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of five years of technical training.
• Five years of experience in two of four trades: electrical, structural, mechanical, plumbing/pipe fitting.
• Blue Seal Boiler License required.

The Manager Plant Operations coordinates, directs, performs and supervises employees engaged in operation, maintenance and repair of the buildings and utilities systems. Works, coordinates, supervises the activities of the employees engaged in maintenance and repair work of buildings physical structure, of ground and utility systems to include plumbing, masonry, carpentry, electrical work, refrigeration air conditioning, ventilating, heating, steam and mechanical systems.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
• Minimum of five years of technical training.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in two of the four trades: electrical, structural, mechanical, plumbing/pipe fitting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Blue Seal Boiler License.
