Job summary

Sunrock Industries is hiring a Plant Utility Person in Kittrell, NC to support day-to-day operations, maintenance, and housekeeping at asphalt, concrete, or aggregate plants. You will operate and maintain equipment, perform inspections, assist with repairs, and ensure safety procedures are followed in an industrial setting, including overtime and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of related industrial, plant, or mechanical experience preferred.
• Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety policies, MSHA, and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain a clean and orderly plant environment.
• Perform general housekeeping: high-pressure hoses, drainage, and debris removal.
• Inspect plant equipment and report mechanical issues.
• Operate equipment such as Haul Truck, Skid steer, Front-end loader, Dump truck, Sweeper.
• Assist with maintenance and repairs: replacing parts, lubricating machinery, changing gearbox oils.
• Identify equipment issues by observing performance and sounds.
• Assist in assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, valves, gauges, regulators.
• Operate cutting torch and/or welding equipment as needed.
• Climb stairs and catwalks to perform maintenance tasks.
• Load and unload materials and supplies.
• Assist in maintaining maintenance records and reporting completed work.
• Support team operations and production goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
