Mortenson is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee plant operations in a growing assembly/manufacturing environment. You will drive safety, quality, production, and customer satisfaction while managing budgets and leading a high-performing team.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, continuous improvement, and strong communication with the off-site Plant Manager. Prior ERP experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferred), business administration, or manufacturing management.
• Resourceful and self-starting work habits.
• Problem solving based on information and sound judgment.

• Minimum five years of assembly/manufacturing leadership including safety, quality, production and finance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and lead plant operations with focus on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Direct, supervise, and develop plant staff for efficient and safe operations.
• Establish and enforce safety programs; conduct inspections and meetings; ensure equipment maintenance.
• Manage budgets; analyze costs; develop labor models; improve profitability.
• Recommend capital purchases and plant expansions.
• Prepare reports and handle P&L for operations.
• Maintain high customer service levels through on-time deliveries and quality.
• Meet all customer quality requirements; coordinate with resources to solve issues.
• Use lean methodologies to meet business objectives; act as liaison for plant products.
• Support Plant Manager in business cases for new opportunities.
