Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee operations including safety, quality, production, maintenance, and capital planning. The role emphasizes cost-efficiency while meeting customer requirements and regulatory standards.

You will mentor management, drive safety initiatives, ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA/HACCP, manage budgets, and lead continuous improvement across all plant functions, with a focus on energy efficiency and asset development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in a supervisory/management role in an industrial or plant setting.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; engineering degree is an asset.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Detail oriented; highly organized; ability to work with internal staff.
• Experience in rendering industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and develop plant management and supervisory staff.
• Lead safety initiatives and promote a safety-first culture.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, HACCP and local/regional agencies.
• Prepare monthly reports, analyze budgets and take corrective actions.
• Maintain efficient flow of raw materials and ingredients shipped.
• Lead continuous improvement across all areas of responsibility.
• Lead capital projects planning and asset development.
• Ensure training and equipment readiness.
• Assure quality and finish product shipping meets standards.
• Manage local purchasing and energy optimization.
• All other duties as assigned.
