Job summary

The Bay Family of Companies seeks a Plant Manager to lead a manufacturing facility in Colorado. You will champion safety, drive high quality products, and ensure on-time delivery while managing costs and budgets.

The role oversees production, maintenance, shipping, receiving, and administration, fostering teamwork and continuous improvement. You will lead a safety-first culture, monitor compliance with OSHA and DOT rules, and implement lean processes to reduce defects and waste.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience with LTL/TL freight coordination and transportation management systems (TMS) preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing safety standards, lean principles, and quality control processes.
• Proficiency with ERP or inventory management systems, Microsoft Office, and production documentation.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Champion a culture of safety and lead by example.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and conduct safety audits.
• Spend at least 30% of time on the production floor engaging with employees.
• Maintain product quality and adhere to testing requirements and audit records.
• Deliver on-time to customers by scheduling inbound materials, labor, and finished goods.
• Control costs and manage inventory with accurate cycle counts and audits.
• Lead and develop the team, oversee staffing and training.
• Maintain equipment and facility with preventive maintenance schedules.
• Communicate proactively with sales, leadership, and other facilities.
