Job summary

ISP Lima LLC is seeking an Operations Manager for its Lima, OH facility. The role reports to the plant manager and requires guiding a team of operators and team leaders to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient plant operations.

The candidate should have 10+ years in chemical plant operations, a chemical engineering degree (or equivalent leadership experience), and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Expect responsibility for planning, mentoring, and driving performance improvements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a chemical plant or refining facility.
• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or equivalent leadership/process understanding substitution.
• Experience troubleshooting complex issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate responsible and ethical behavior.
• Ability to understand business and drive value through decisive actions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and environmentally responsible operation of plant through coaching, observations, and compliance.
• Supervise 5 team leaders and 18 operators.
• Lead maintenance planning and Safe Out Planning participation.
• Provide technical input and mentoring to plant engineers.
• Review and update operating procedures per schedule.
• Monitor product quality and adjust instructions to stay within spec.
• Foster collaboration and improve organizational capacity.
