Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Plant Manager to lead a production center, overseeing both operational and administrative staff. You will drive profitability while ensuring quality, safety, and customer satisfaction across production and maintenance activities.

The role requires 7-10 years of production leadership experience in a metals-related environment, strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, and a track record of delivering on-time results in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in science or engineering; relevant experience in a technically demanding production environment may be a substitute
• 7-10 years of experience in managing production outcomes according to customer specifications; metals processing experience highly preferred
• Experience supervising a team of at least 15 associates
• Operational experience managing a fast-paced, quick-turnaround jobbing/service business
• Strong mechanical (and some electrical) aptitude
• Experience in manufacturing/production environment and managing production cycles to deliver on time
• Progressive management responsibility with metrics on on-time delivery, first-time quality, productivity, costs; strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of all production center employees and administrative staff.
• Ensures timely delivery of services in a cost-effective manner and in adherence with quality system requirements.
• Daily management of all center production activities including implementation of directives and adherence to quality/safety systems.
• Oversee maintenance staff to ensure long-term performance and workforce development.
• Implement preventive maintenance, work instructions, and quality procedures.
• Ensure on-time delivery, equipment uptime, product quality and cost efficiency.
• Drive continuous cost control and improvements for profitability.
• Interact with customers to maintain relationships and high level of service.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by quality system adherence and production/maintenance standards.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and housekeeping standards.
• Maintain care of capital assets and compliance with laws and practices.
