Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee all plant operations, drive safety and quality, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to meet delivery and cost goals. This on-site role reports to the Director of Powder Operations and requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing.

You will champion Lean and Six Sigma, supervise production, maintenance, quality, and logistics, and act as the primary contact for audits and customer inquiries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing plant operations and large teams.
• LSS Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, and logistics.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance per OSHA and environmental standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives.
• Meet customer delivery, quality, and cost objectives.
• Lead staff development and foster a collaborative culture.
• Coordinate with customer audits and inquiries.
• Improve production scheduling to meet delivery requirements.
