Job summary

MANN+HUMMEL is seeking a Plant Manager in Louisa, VA to lead all daily manufacturing operations. You will drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives while developing a high-performance team.

You will oversee production, maintenance, quality, and engineering, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer requirements. Strong leadership and data-driven decision making are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field.
• Several years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior plant management or senior operations leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methods preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all plant operations to meet production targets, customer requirements, and business objectives.
• Oversee daily manufacturing activities, resource planning, production performance, and operational execution.
• Ensure coordination between production, maintenance, quality, engineering, supply chain, HR, finance, and support functions.
• Monitor KPIs and implement action plans to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and efficiency.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across the facility.
• Identify and implement opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and optimize resources.
• Support lean manufacturing, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive corrective actions and data-driven decision making throughout the organization.
• Lead workforce planning, employee development, performance management, and succession planning.
