Job summary

Workhorse Group in Wixom, MI seeks a Plant Operations Manager to lead safety‑driven, high‑performing manufacturing teams and drive continuous improvement across all plant processes.

You will direct production, quality, maintenance, materials, and logistics; develop strategic plans; manage budgets and capital expenditures; and deliver on‑time, cost‑effective results for our growing vehicle program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient plant performance.
• Develop and execute operational plans supporting objectives and growth.
• Ensure production schedules meet quality, safety, and delivery commitments.
• Lead daily production reviews and implement corrective actions.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee materials management, inventory control, warehousing, shipping and receiving.
