Job summary

Minerals Technologies Inc. is seeking a Plant Manager for our Baton Rouge, LA site to lead daily operations, drive Lean initiatives, and ensure safety, quality and cost targets are met.

You will coordinate production, maintenance, and admin functions, while aligning with QA, sales and customer service to satisfy customers. The role requires extensive manufacturing leadership experience, strong EHS background, and proven ability to manage budgets, capital projects and cross-functional teams in a

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years' experience in manufacturing.
• Strong EHS background; safety certification preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems similar to Oracle.; PM software experience.
• Strong change management, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations including production, maintenance and admin tasks.
• Coordinate with QA to ensure product/customer specs are met and compliant with tests.
• Interface with sales/marketing/customer service to meet customer needs.
• Lead and develop plant personnel; drive Lean and continuous improvement.
• Develop and monitor annual plant budget; manage capital expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and site EH&S requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
