Job summary

Security Properties in Illinois is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee our co-manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production, quality, and safety.

You will lead a diverse team, develop production plans, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma practices. This role requires 10+ years in manufacturing leadership, strong ERP and analytics skills, and a focus on regulatory compliance to meet customer demands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Operations/Business Administration or related field is required.
• 10+ years in a managerial role within co-manufacturing or food production.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• ERP systems experience and proficiency with manufacturing software is a plus.
• Ability to lead diverse teams and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day plant operations including production, packaging, maintenance, and quality control to meet targets.
• Supervise and mentor managers, supervisors, technicians, and staff, fostering safety and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement production schedules and resource plans to optimize efficiency and meet demand.
• Ensure quality assurance protocols and regulatory compliance; address non-conformities.
• Maintain a safe working environment with regular safety audits and training.
• Manage the plant budget and identify cost-saving opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with suppliers and co-manufacturing partners to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to streamline processes and reduce waste.
• Prepare reports on plant performance, KPIs, and provide recommendations to senior management.
