Bio-Rad Laboratories in Portland, Maine seeks a Manufacturing/Plant Manager to oversee all manufacturing areas, ensuring products are produced on schedule within quality and cost targets.

The role requires leading resource allocation, budget control, and continuous improvement initiatives; you will drive Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S programs to maximize yields, reduce waste, and meet ISO and regulatory standards while developing the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or related field.
• 12+ years manufacturing production experience and process/engineering roles.
• 10+ years of leadership/management experience.
• Experience in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Allocate resources to support manufacturing activities and projects.
• Approve material purchases, capital investment, and operating expenses.
• Monitor progress and report metrics to Division Management.
• Resolve manufacturing execution issues to ensure a steady pipeline.
• Set budgets and analyze manufacturing costs including labor and scrap.
• Maintain plant safety and quality policies to meet ISO and other standards.
• Implement new technologies to improve efficiencies.
• Oversee quality and continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, 5S.
