Job summary

Greif, a global leader in performance packaging, seeks a Plant Manager to lead all operational functions at our La Porte, TX facility. You’ll oversee Manufacturing Engineering, Production Operations, Maintenance, Planning & Control, Quality, and EHS, driving safety, quality, productivity, and engagement.

You will implement Lean and Six Sigma, develop strategic improvement plans, manage budgets, and partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, HR, and Finance to meet objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Business, or related field preferred.
• 5–7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience leading teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily plant operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity targets.
• Drive continuous improvement with Lean, Six Sigma and operational excellence practices.
• Develop and execute strategic improvement plans for plant operations and workforce performance.
• Foster a strong safety culture with compliance to all safety and regulatory requirements.
• Build high-performing teams through coaching, training, performance management, and succession planning.
• Communicate company goals and performance expectations across all levels of the organization.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, HR, Finance, and Commercial teams.
