Darling Ingredients seeks an Assistant Plant Manager to oversee the plant operations that convert raw materials into quality products. You will ensure sanitation, maintain schedules, supervise maintenance and production staff, and monitor safety and quality standards.

The role reports to the Plant Manager and includes responsibility for cost control, vendor pricing, and process improvements. Strong supervisory experience in an industrial setting is required, with 3+ years in manufacturing.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years of supervisory or management experience in industrial/manufacturing.
• 3+ years of industrial/manufacturing experience.

Aufgaben

• Oversee plant operations ensuring sanitary conditions and repair readiness.
• Maintain efficient flow of raw materials and timely schedules.
• Monitor staff performance and enforce high standards.
• Control vendor pricing by comparing value, service and quality.
• Plan stock orders to minimize emergency purchases.
• Ensure quality of finished products and identify causes of quality loss.
• Supervise maintenance and production personnel and equipment upkeep.
• Keep maintenance records current and observe safety rules.
• Investigate accidents and make safety recommendations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
