Steel Dynamics’ Jeffersonville Plant is seeking a Plant Floater to perform a range of duties in shipping/receiving, housekeeping, and packaging. You will operate overhead cranes and fork trucks, load/unload coils, and handle zinc storage, contributing to smooth daily operations.

The role emphasizes a strong safety mindset, teamwork, adaptability, and willingness to train on additional plant tasks while supporting drivers and internal customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain a safe work environment for all employees and drivers.
• Safely and efficiently operate overhead cranes.
• Safely and efficiently operate fork trucks.
• Load/unload coils.
• Unload zinc and safely place zinc into storage.
• Support the galv line packager during splits and keep supplies available.
• Learn a variety of tasks and assist others while completing own assignments.
