Job summary

Hilcorp Energy Company seeks a process/plant engineer to support gas processing plants in the Lower 48. You will analyze operations, identify optimization opportunities, and provide engineering support for new projects and integrity initiatives.

Responsibilities include leading PHAs, sizing relief devices, heat/material balances, hydraulic simulations, and coordinating with operations and vendors to ensure on-time, on-budget project execution.

Qualifications

• Four years minimum oil and gas / process engineering experience.
• Two years direct plant operations engineering experience.
• Experience with Process Safety Management and Process Hazard Analysis.
• Familiarity with ASME, API, NFPA codes and standards.
• Professional Engineer license desirable.

Responsibilities

• Regularly analyzes operational problems, develops alternatives, and recommends optimal solutions.
• Seeks opportunities to optimize systems, reduce costs, improve operations and maximize performance.
• Provides design engineering, scope development, timelines and cost estimates for projects.
• Coordinates construction personnel to ensure execution within scope and budget.
• Leads or participates in PHAs and implements recommendations for processing facilities.
• Provides plant engineering support and conducts heat and material balances for existing and new designs.
• Performs hydraulic simulations of pressures and flows in pipelines and equipment.
• Assists in due diligence and interacts with operations teams to drive growth projects.
