Our client, a prominent industrial manufacturing firm, is seeking an experienced and visionary Plant Operations Director to lead and manage all aspects of its operations in Welkom, Free State, ZA . You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and profitable operation of the plant, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a culture of innovation. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and supply chain management.
• Develop and implement strategic operational plans to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control protocols.
• Manage plant budgets, capital expenditures, and P&L responsibilities for the facility.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the plant management team and workforce, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and implement best practices to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams on new product introductions and process improvements.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and external stakeholders.
• Oversee inventory management and logistics to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Implement and maintain robust preventative maintenance programs for all plant equipment.
