Job summary

Koch Foods in Whitesburg, United States, seeks an Occupational Health Nurse or related professional for the 2nd shift to provide medical care, serve as a first responder, and support Safety Managers with health services. The role includes coordinating workers' compensation, scheduling visits, and driving wellness programs.

The position also covers pre-employment physicals and drug testing, maintaining health records, liaising with an occupational health clinic, and delivering training on hearing

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required OR Certified EMT, Paramedic, etc.
• Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) certification or willingness to obtain.
• Prior occupational health experience within a similar environment preferred.
• Confidentiality of employee health information must be maintained.
• Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, FMLA regulations.
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage hearing conservation, heat stress, respiratory protection and ergonomics programs including development and delivery of employee training.
• All other relevant duties to the job.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent utilization of office equipment and/or computers.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
• Possible exposure to heat (99°F, 37°C) and cold (45°F, 4°C).
• Possible exposure to wet and cold environment.
• Work around live and/or raw animal odors.
