Job summary

Koch Foods, Inc. in Morristown, TN is seeking a licensed practical nurse or certified EMT/Paramedic to support occupational health services on the 2nd shift. The role involves direct medical care, program development, and collaboration with safety managers to maintain a healthy workforce.

Responsibilities include coordinating pre-employment screenings, drug testing, and maintaining health records, while fostering relations with local occupational health clinics and enforcing safety training.

Qualifications

• Current LPN or certified EMT/Paramedic.
• COHN certification or willingness to obtain.
• Prior occupational health experience preferred.

• Manage hearing conservation, heat stress, respiratory protection and ergonomics programs including development and delivery of employee training.
• All other relevant duties to the job.

Requirements

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required OR Certified EMT, Paramedic, etc.
• Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) certification or willingness to obtain.
• Prior occupational health experience within a similar environment preferred.
• Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to ensure confidentiality of employee health information.
• Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, FMLA regulations.
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent utilization of office equipment and/or computers.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
• Possible exposure to heat (99°F, 37°C) and cold (45°F, 4°C).
• Possible exposure to wet and cold environment.
• Work around live and/or raw animal odors.
