CapstoneONE Search is seeking a Plant Mechanical Engineer for a globally prominent manufacturing organization in Michigan. The role emphasizes CAD-based plant layouts, equipment and machine design, and hands-on project engineering to support operations and capital projects.

You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, EHS, and leadership to develop practical solutions, oversee installations, and drive plant expansions and process improvements across a complex industrial

Qualifications

Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
Hands-on CAD experience with plant layouts and equipment design.
2+ years in a manufacturing or industrial setting with capital projects.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret technical drawings.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders from concept through implementation.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain CAD drawings for plant layouts and future expansions.
Design modifications to equipment, tooling, and plant infrastructure.
Lead capital projects from concept through installation and commissioning.
Evaluate proposals and specifications to determine feasibility and design solutions.
Coordinate with operations, maintenance, EHS, contractors, and suppliers.
Provide hands-on engineering support during installation, commissioning, troubleshooting.
Support reliability needs and long-term infrastructure planning.
