Job summary

Kinder Morgan CO2 Company is seeking a Plant Mechanic for the Snyder Gas Plant to maintain safe, efficient operation of process and compression equipment. The role includes routine maintenance, start-up/shutdown, documentation, and coordination with contract personnel; on-call rotation and 45-minute on-site requirement are expected.

Experience in oil and gas operations and strong safety practices are preferred.

Qualifications

• Solid safety and environmental practices are required.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and valid driver’s license.
• Able to participate 24/7 on-call and be on site within 45 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles during daily activities.
• Monitor facilities to identify operational problems.
• Perform routine maintenance of process and compression equipment.
• Shutdown and start-up of equipment and related systems.
• Provide oral and written communication of activities to personnel.
• Interact with contract personnel and be a Kinder Morgan representative.
• Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
• Complete documentation and use Maximo to manage Work Orders.
• Be a contributing member of the PSM Teams and participate in on-call rotations.
