Job summary

Seneca Foods Corporation in Blue Earth, MN, is seeking a Plant Mechanic to maintain and repair food processing equipment and to overhaul plant equipment during non-production periods. Starting wage ranges from $26.00 to $30.00 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and a strong emphasis on GMP and safety compliance.

You will inspect and repair machinery, read blueprints, design and install equipment, and keep precise maintenance records to meet production goals during the season.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and maintain machinery, and equipment throughout the facility.
• Trouble shoot, repair, and replace machinery as required.
• Read sketches and blueprints to determine layout of assigned work.
• Design, fabricate, weld, and install equipment as required.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and PM completed.
• Monitor equipment operation making any necessary adjustments.
• Ensure GMPs and safety rules are followed and enforced.
• Other duties as assigned.
