Job summary

Magna International in South Carolina is hiring a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead quality planning for new launches and changes. You will drive supplier audits, PPAP, ISIR, and FMEA activities, and work with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve issues and reduce risk.

The role requires a 4-year Materials Engineering degree and strong root cause analysis capabilities. Onsite location with comprehensive benefits and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Materials Engineering degrees, preferably Material Science/Metallurgy or related field.
• Experience with Metallurgical techniques and steel/aluminum processing is preferred.
• Proficient in problem-solving methodologies (DMAIC, 8D, Six Sigma).
• Ability to read technical drawings and standards in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure supplier compliance with OEM requirements and Drive Automotive supplier quality expectations.
• Lead supplier quality planning and documentation for new launches and changes (PPAP, ISIR, Control Plans, FMEAs).
• Drive supplier performance through audits, corrective actions, root cause analysis and supplier scorecards.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and minimize risk.
• Provide technical leadership and decision-making to support quality objectives and continuous improvement.
