Job summary

Premier Staffing Solution is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to improve equipment reliability, process efficiency, safety, and production performance through continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include leading safety and productivity improvements, identifying equipment and process upgrades, and supporting capital projects for upgrades. Strong Lean and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in metal fabrication and process improvement.
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment (CNC, welding, machining, fabrication systems).
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • CAD proficiency (2D/3D) and understanding of GD&T.
  • Experience with automation, controls, and modern manufacturing technologies.
  • Familiarity with CMMS and reliability improvement programs.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement expertise.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment.
  • Design fixtures, tooling, and process improvements.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing and structured problem-solving methodologies (5S, 5 Whys, A3).
  • Analyze manufacturing data to drive performance improvements.
  • Train and mentor production and maintenance personnel.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement operational improvements.
