Description

As a Plant Manager, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of reverse osmosis water treatment plants and assist in constructing new facilities as needed. You will work with Engineering, Project Management, Field Services, and Business Development teams to foster growth. Your responsibilities include managing local operations staff, maximizing plant uptime, maintaining safety standards, budgeting, equipment troubleshooting, procurement, inventory management, and client relations. You will also serve as the company's local ambassador, seeking growth opportunities on the island and communicating with your manager about potential opportunities.

Requirements

  • Lead safety initiatives and promote a safety culture.
  • Implement and maintain Environmental Health and Safety programs.
  • Create a safe, clean work environment.
  • Develop and manage operational KPIs based on best practices.
  • Plan and oversee preventive maintenance and operations.
  • Assist in preparing and managing the operating budget.
  • Lead plant operators and supervise their activities.
  • Coordinate plant-related projects and communicate with relevant teams.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance is completed and documented.
  • Train operators on system operation and maintenance.
  • Document plant conditions and prepare field reports.
  • Possess experience in water systems, construction, operation, and maintenance.
  • Recommend system improvements to management.
  • Understand mechanical, electrical, and piping drawings.

Key Skills And Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of experience leading desalination or related industrial process plants.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office; IT literacy.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Ability to interpret process and instrumentation drawings.
  • Strategic planning and leadership skills.
  • Physical fitness to work on equipment, including lifting up to fifty pounds and exposure to weather conditions.
  • Availability for full-time work with overtime as needed.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent trade-school education combined with work experience.
