About the Company:
We are a growing, high-performance company headquartered in California, with nearly 50 years in the business, specializing in custom label production with an eye toward quality, speed, and customer satisfaction. We are expanding our operations and launching a new facility in Tennessee, and we are seeking a hands-on, hard-charging Plant Manager to help us open, lead, and grow this critical operation.

About the Role:
This is a unique opportunity for a driven, high-aptitude leader who wants to roll up their sleeves, build something from the ground up, and run it like their own business. The Plant Manager will be responsible for launching and leading all aspects of the Tennessee facility, managing a small but growing team, and ensuring seamless production and delivery of customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Leadership

  • Launch and manage day-to-day operations of the Tennessee facility

  • Lead all local production floor activities, scheduling, and quality control

  • Estimate jobs, manage order entry, and ensure efficient scheduling of production

  • Maintain and repair equipment and facility infrastructure

  • Purchase supplies and manage local vendor relationships

Team Management

  • Hire, train, and develop a local team of 7 to start, with growth expectations up to 25

  • Directly manage staff, including:

    • 1 Customer Service Representative (estimating and project management)

    • 1 Production Prep

    • 1 Warehouse & Shipping

    • 3–4 Production Operators

  • Foster a high-performance, safety-first culture

  • Oversee local customer service operations and ensure exceptional client satisfaction

Logistics & Finance

  • Manage local shipping and logistics to ensure timely order fulfillment

  • Serve as the cost center manager for the Tennessee facility

  • Coordinate closely with Livermore HQ on policies, procedures, and operational alignment

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; additional education through hands-on learning strongly valued

  • Must have run a production floor, preferably in label printing or commercial litho printing

  • Strong technical aptitude for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting

  • Proven leadership skills in small-team environments

  • Entrepreneurial mindset: resourceful, proactive, and unafraid of hard work

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with headquarters

  • Experience in purchasing, logistics, estimating, and scheduling
