Job summary

Clearbridge Executive Search is seeking a Plant Operations Leader in Louisiana to drive production, quality and efficiency improvements across the steel manufacturing facility. You will coach staff, manage budgets, and lead capital projects to align with strategic business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Management/Operations or related field preferred.
• Minimum five years of steel manufacturing and operations leadership experience (steel, welding, press, plasma machining).
• Proven ability to implement continuous improvement and Lean methodologies (Six Sigma, 5S, Lean Manufacturing).
• Strong analytical and technical skills; proficient in MS Office to analyze operational data and support decisions.

Responsibilities

• Direct overall plant operations to achieve production, quality, efficiency, financial, and strategic objectives.
• Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and employee development to build a performance-driven culture.
• Manage plant financial performance including profitability, budgeting, forecasting and KPIs.
• Lead workforce planning to ensure adequate talent and resources for production and customer needs.
• Plan and execute operational improvements and capital projects with cross-functional teams.
