Job Title: RNG Plant Manager

Location: WIN Projects – Seneca & Tunnel Hill

Reports To: Regional Operations Manager

Job Summary:
The RNG Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of the RNG production facility. This role ensures optimal performance, compliance with environmental regulations, and efficient management of resources to achieve production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage day-to-day operations of the RNG facility, including biogas production and processing.
2. Take guidance from senior management and make independent decisions to ensure smooth operations.
3. Lead and supervise a team of plant personnel, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency in a 24/7 operation.
4. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards.
5. Monitor and optimize production processes to meet or exceed performance targets.
6. Manage operating expenses and adhere to the annual budget.
7. Maintain and troubleshoot equipment such as compressors, electrical controls, and gas meters.
8. Oversee data collection for renewable attribute registration with relevant authorities.
9. Collaborate with technicians, contractors, and stakeholders for seamless operations.
10. Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training plant operators.
11. Manage operator performance, set goals, and conduct annual reviews.
12. Handle administrative tasks including reporting, budgeting, and vendor management.
13. Maintain spare inventory and provide quarterly inventory counts.
14. Operate advanced instrumentation and process control systems.
15. Coordinate with third-party vendors for maintenance and compliance.
16. Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track activities.
17. Diagnose performance issues and perform corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, or related field.
2. Extensive experience with compressors, electrical controls, PLC systems, and gas processing equipment.
3. Skilled in interpreting P&ID or electrical drawings.
4. Strong communication skills within the industry.
5. Previous experience in RNG operations.
6. Knowledge of safety protocols, including lockout/tagout and confined space entry.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
8. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
9. Ability to work in challenging environments with exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes.
10. Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and walk over uneven terrain.

Skills:

• Knowledge of renewable energy processes and environmental compliance.
• Experience managing budgets and financial statements.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
