Plant Manager, Plastics (Must have plastics extrusion experience)

Lane Enterprises is seeking a Plant Manager, Plastics Division for their facility in Wytheville, VA. The successful candidate will oversee the plastic extrusion plant, manage over 50 employees, ensure safety, produce high-quality products, and handle budgeting and profitability. Must Have Plastic or Plastic Extrusion Experience. Relocation assistance is provided.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage all operational aspects including productivity, cost control, planning, and daily processes.
  2. Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance quality, productivity, and efficiency.
  3. Ensure compliance with quality assurance programs.
  4. Prepare and oversee capital expenditure requests and projects.
  5. Promote a safety culture proactively.
  6. Plan resources effectively to meet operational needs.
  7. Maintain operations within budget and schedule.
  8. Manage data collection and analyze metrics to meet productivity and quality goals.
  9. Provide daily leadership to production staff, including scheduling and inventory management.
  10. Supervise staff, enforce safety policies, and promote company values and employee development.
  11. Monitor material flow and ensure product quality standards are met.
  12. Be available for on-call responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 4+ years of progressive management experience in manufacturing, with a focus on meeting production goals.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, production operations, and financial management.
  • Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Experience developing and implementing strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Compensation: $118,500 - $147,900 annually.
